Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of R2Brains.com ("R2Brains," "we," "us"), a private, persistent storage Brain built for use by AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible AI tools). By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms.

1. What R2Brains Is

R2Brains provides each customer a private, isolated Brain ("your Brain"), accessible only through a personal, secret connector link. Your AI assistant reads and writes files in your Brain on your behalf, using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or our direct API. R2Brains does not operate, train, or have any affiliation with the AI models that connect to your Brain — Claude, ChatGPT, and any other assistant you choose to connect are separate products from separate companies, governed by their own terms.

2. Your Account and Connector Links

• Your connector link functions as a password. Anyone who has it can read, write, or (if issued full access) delete files in your Brain. You are responsible for keeping it private.
• You can rotate your connector's access level (read-only, read-write, or full) or revoke every connector you've ever issued ("kill switch") at any time from your Brain portal.
• You must provide an accurate email address. We use it for account access (magic-link sign-in), service notices, and billing receipts.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

• R2Brains subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card details.
• Your plan includes a storage allowance (measured in GB) and a limit on active AI connectors. Storage is enforced in real time — uploads that would exceed your plan's limit are rejected until you free up space or upgrade.
• You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your Brain portal's Billing section, which is handled directly by Stripe's secure billing portal.
• When a subscription is canceled, your AI connector is deactivated immediately. Your files are not deleted — you retain access to view your files and can resubscribe at any time.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, or at our discretion.

4. Your Content

• You own everything you or your AI assistant store in your Brain. We claim no ownership over your files, notes, code, or any other content.
• You are responsible for what you store. You agree not to use R2Brains to store or transmit content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have the right to store.
• We do not access, read, or use the contents of your Brain except: (a) as strictly necessary to operate the service (e.g., computing your storage usage, running nightly backups), (b) to investigate suspected abuse or a security incident, or (c) as required by law.

5. Backups and Data Retention

• We run a nightly backup of your Brain and retain each day's snapshot for 8 days on a rolling basis. Backups exist to protect you from accidental deletion, not as a replacement for your own copies of anything irreplaceable.
• If your subscription lapses, your files remain in storage and are not deleted solely due to non-payment. We reserve the right to delete data from accounts that remain canceled and inactive for an extended period, with advance email notice to the address on file.
• You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@r2brains.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: attempt to access another customer's Brain or circumvent tenant isolation; use the service to store malware or content used to attack other systems; resell or share your connector link outside your own use; or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

7. Service Availability

R2Brains is built on Cloudflare's global infrastructure (Workers, R2, D1) and inherits its reliability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance or known outages.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

R2Brains is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, R2Brains and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Brain portal before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
